The Williamsport Municipal Airport Authority signed various agreements for infrastructure improvements and other airport needs at its recent monthly meeting.

Contracts were approved with Transystems for design work for runway rehabilitation at $113,854 and for control tower renovations at $26,500.

The work will be funded by the state’s capital improvement funds.

A lease has been approved for Enterprise Car Rental for service in the Main Terminal.

Airport manager Richard Howell noted that the minimum rent for Enterprise will be $520 per month or 10% of the month’s gross revenue. In addition, a counter rent of $3,288 per year will be assessed when the airport has no air service.

A one-year lease with Exco for office space was approved at $19,100.

The health and dental plan for airport employees has been approved for 2023. Howell noted that there is no cost increase with the plan via Highmark.

The Authority also approved the airport’s strategic plan.

Howell indicated that airport rules and regulations/minimum standards for aviation operations are posted on the airport’s website.

CARES Act funding for the airport in 2022 is just under $1.2 million, Howell reported.

This brings the total amount to date to $4.8 million.

The Authority met in executive session after the meeting to consider leasing matters.
