The new hair salon has opened in Doncaster.

Christmas 2021 will go down as an unforgettable memory for senior hairstylist Toby, 28, and marketing director Craig, 30, as they launch the new salon.

The quick-thinking duo turned a Christmas Day layoff into a business opportunity by taking over the lease of the salon where Toby has worked for the past three years, launching their own salon – Hair Salon Near Me.

The duo successfully offered new jobs and chair leases to existing staff from the previous show, alleviating the need for unnecessary unemployment.

Speaking at the opening, Toby said: ‘I’m so excited to reopen the doors of the business I’ve worked for for three years as my own hair salon.

“It’s been a lifelong dream of mine to own a salon and something I’ve been working on for years. This opportunity, while unexpected, came at a perfect time in my career.”

Having worked in hairdressing for over eight years in the Doncaster area, Toby has achieved many accolades such as qualifying as a Goldwell Hair Color Master and being shortlisted for a Yorkshire Salon Award for some of his creative work.

He added: “During this period, I perfected my art of coloring hair. I have so many plans for the salon and can’t wait to see what the future holds for us and the team at the hair salon near me. 2022 is going to be crazy for us!

Without wasting time, the duo spent their Christmas and New Year holidays reorganizing the living room, with the help of their family of painters and decorators, transforming the interior, putting their mark on the place.

To ensure they were making interior design choices guaranteed to be a hit with their customers, the duo ran polls on their newly created Instagram account asking their customers to select their favorite color options.

Of the renovations, Craig said: ‘The interior of the old salon was quite cold and dated and was not representative of an environment our Bawtry-based customers would expect or the brand we are getting into. to build.

“We wanted to include our customers in our decision-making by putting them in the driver’s seat, letting them have a say in the look and feel of the salon, after all, the salon is their space too.”

“We introduced the winning splash of color, added textiles and even had a flower wall installed in an effort to breathe new life and create a space where our customers can feel comfortable, safe and secure. and a sense of home away from home.
